Stringer & Stringer Patterns
The stringer is a strip of strengthening material (typically wood) that runs the whole length of a foam surfboard. It’s already present in the surfboard blank before it is shaped. Some epoxy, soft tops, and carbon fiber surfboards may not have stringers.
Standard Stringer
The most common stringer option runs down the center of the surfboard, nose to tail.
Multi Stringer
Multiple stringers are most commonly seen on longboards. The triple stringer is a common feature of a classic longboard.
Parabolic
The parabolic stringer runs down the rails of the surfboard, following the rail curve.
Stringerless
We do offer stringerless surfboards. Surfboards without stringers require a knowledge of controlling the flex points of the surfboard in alternative ways.
