About US

SIMR Surfboards was founded in 2007 when two San Diego shapers came together under one label. It wasn’t until 2009 that SIMR, INC. was established and a collective shaping team decided to build a brand. SIMR was initially founded on three core commitments. (1) 100% Custom Surfboards. You will never see our surfboards on the rack in some surf shop. We don’t make a board unless it is for a particular surfer. (2) Environmental Commitment. As surfers, we are the most aware of the footprint we leave behind. Our strong commitment to alternative inputs is only part of our environmental commitment. We also recognize our responsibility to offset our footprint through the support of groups like 1% for the Planet and the Surfrider Foundation. (3) Women In Action Sports. We made a decision that we would equally support the growth of women in action sports. These commitments are visible in the events we support and the team we have chosen to represent our brand.

Sponsorships

We proudly offer many levels of sponsorship to individuals and organizations that represent something truly unique and powerful. Our highest level of sponsorship is reserved for our Global Team Athletes. Our mid level sponsorship is open for Local Team Athletes. In efforts to maximize exposure, we also work closely with musicians, artists, photographers, college teams and a few non-profit organizations.
